I know there are probably many out there, and know what most think of them, but thought someone might like to see it anyway, as I collect them and never found one like this one. This is the best in my collection. I had a 5 1/2" just like it but it sold on Gunbrokers.

My Pietta/Kirst 1860 cartridge conversions (Saber River and Avenging Angel).  I guess they would be type IIs (sort of!).  The box is a Cheyenne Cartridge .45 Schofield box with a JPG of an original .44 Colt cartridge box label, sized to fit, and rubber cemented on.  I did all 10 of my boxes with these labels.  The cartridges are original .44 Colt/Martin from my collection.  I think I have 18 or 19 original 44 Colt cartridges.

Here is my latest Conversion Type II 44 Colt, and as I have only seen one Type II with a steel backstrap in McDowells book on Conversions,  I put a brass trigger guard on it and shaped to the backstrap and grip, made the arbor to barrel correct, and shoots great,. Now just wondering how long till I antique it. I don't like pretty guns, but this one is kind of nice, and I know a lot of you out there like new looking guns, but a little to shiny for me . The top Conversion is a Type I that I antiqued years ago that  Kenny Howell made, it's a nice old revolver.
Thanks for looking,
Reno

Here are another two of my Conversions. both Ubertis one Type I and the other a Type II. The Nickeled Type I came with Mexican Ivorex grips by Gripmaker, I fit a walnut set of grips I had in the bin to the gun, and filed down the front sight a little and may  file it a little more, but it shoots pretty good the way it is, so might leave it alone. I fit a brass trigger guard to the Type II, other than that left it alone. It also shoots great. Another note, if I was to want a a set of grips made I would give Gripmaker a call as the grips that came on the gun are prefect in fit and shape, and finish.
Thanks for looking.

Here's another ASM Conversion I picked up, and know what a lot out there think of ASMs and I know as I have had and sold many over the years, but believe it or not, When I bought it I had never seen a revolver I don't think was ever cleaned so I took it apart, cleaned it stained the grips and it functions perfect, and shoots great.
Thanks for looking.

I took a little more of the front sight of the conversion, and might take a little more,as it shoot pretty good now, but still looks to high for a conversion.

Nice, Reno!  I REALLY like the ASM 1860s.  They were my favorite conversions.  However, only one of the two worked.  Some day I will pick up another....

Thanks TL, I also am looking for another ASM 1860 Conversion. You also have some very nice Conversions, and I really like the Charcoal Blue one.
Thanks again,
Reno

Reno,

I'd like more info on your Richards conversion, it's deserving of it's own thread! Great gun!
