Bakersfield, quick & easy......?

Howdy......
Gotta go ta Bakersfield on saturday and come home on Sunday or monday. I really don't wanna go up I-5. I need the secret back way in. We will be leaving from eastern San Diego County. Any help out there........... ???

Hey Drifter,
Ya could take the 15 over Cajon pass, run 395 ta Four Corners. Head west from there to Mohave and over Tehachapi. It'll take ya little longer reckon there'll be less traffic. Not a bad drive, done it many a time.

Thankx for the reply and info. I have been up that way many times, but when we get to Four Corners we go stright until we get to Lone Pine. Might give it a try!

Yepper, It the best way north. Lone Pine turn west to Whitney's Portal, Fresh Trout fer dinner, ya can't beat it.  ;D
