We have a 1942 Wehrmacht Truppenfahrrad  "Troop Bicycle" in the Museum
The German Army had numerous units equipped with bicycles.
I dressed it out yesterday.

The M42 Truppenfahrrad was a military bicycle issued to the Wehrmacht during World War II. Special equipment for Wehrmacht use was the steering bar, the saddle, the toolbox and the porter at the back. The headlamp had to work with dynamo and/or battery. On the steering bar were two holders mounted which were holding the half-shelter tent or drivers trench coat or a blanket.

RATS / Picked Up Another Vaquero

Went to a gun show yesterday and this beauty followed me home. Always good to add another Vaquero to the stable.

This one is an Old Vaquero in .45 Colt with a 7.5" barrel.

I can't be the only one who really liked Ruger Vaqueros when they came with a real bluing and their color case hardening. Now, I know their CCH was not the best but once it wore off I really like the grays it produced. I'm not crazy about stainless guns even though I have a few. I prefer blued and CCH. I really don't care for the matte black guns they were making and haven't bought a new one lately so I don't know what they are doing now.

I just know I love the look of the Old Vaqueros and the early New Vaqueros.

Now, What kind of holster do I want to make for this one? Hmmmmm.

Wonder why the factory would do that, to a kinda specialty rifle? Custom order? Doesn't seem logical. Glad you got it tho!

Yep started 45-75 with set trigger , then changed 45-60 standard trigger . It also has the lid / dust cover . ,,,,,DT

An old thread but decided to add a report instead of starting a new . The same old 28" RB 1876  Winchester in 45-60 wcf  with the early five groove rifling . Took it out along with a few others yesterday and shot the old rifle at 50 , 100 and 200 yds gong steel  that old rifle will shoot !  It was easy to hit the 200 yd . 18" steel gong time after time . That old five groove barrel still has good shine and sharp rifling . The clean up was easy . Thinking this old rifle needs to go on a hunt ! ,,,,, DT

It might could possible happen with a special order. Uberti is limited on what they can and can't do. You just have to ask if it can be built. I doubt they are even taking special orders now since the pandemic. I would assume they are still backlogged with regular orders.

Shooting sport? absolutely not at all.

CAS? not dead but really dwindling at least in our area.
