Lighthouse Officer
« on: May 16, 2009, 07:10:28 PM »
I am putting together a Lighthouse Tender Uniform prior to the Coast Guard taking over.  Looking for 1" anchor patch also a hat device both of these are embrodiered.  Can Jo Anns do these for me I see they have the computer controled machines?  I got a us navy service jacket of ebay which I can addapt but need the officers cap to either coast guard style or navy style with white or navy blue top.  Anyone know where to get some of this stuff.  I am volunteering at the pounce inlet lighthouse here in Florida

S&S Firearms carries embroidered anchor patches, both plain and fouled.

CB - the link that RCJ gave you is the closest replica you can find.

It is very hard to find embroidery people to do this work.  I thought I had one lined up through some local contacts but that did not work out.

If you find someone local and willing - i have some jobs...

Ponce inlet light is a pretty place - been there several times.

Nice, but now there is one minor problem, I have a song stuck in my head. ::)  Yes the "I want to marry a lighthouse keeper" from a Clockwork Orange. ;D

Now all I need is a 7 3/8 blue WW2 cover.  Hopefully will find one on ebay.
