Jake C , Marshal W.W.,
Thanks for asking! Over the years I have developed coil spring actions for Colt pattern revolvers as well as the Remington pattern. The Remington action is the biggest advancement since 1890!! As far as I know, I'm the first to ever coil spring a Remington action! The trigger, bolt and hand are powered by torsion springs. The mainspring remains a flat (but tuned!) spring. The resulting piece is one of the toughest revolvers in existence (they'll show a Ruger "how it's done!"!!)!! The frame is narrow and compact, and with a bolt block and action stop installed, you can't break them . . . as hard as you try!!! Skinny (of "Chronicle" fame !!) has the first pair of "competition" Remies (for about a year and a half) and has had zero problems, zero opening of the action (as prescribed!! )!! Very proud of this setup and the results so far!! (Some of this technology has found its way into the Colt pocket revolvers!!)
The resulting revolver is extremely durable and much lighter than a Ruger!!
