Status of Marlin Repairs?
« on: November 13, 2020, 09:58:07 AM »
I broke my Marlin 1894 two months ago and sent it to them for repairs.
I received an email back from them saying they received the rifle.
They gave me an online link and phone number for checking the status of my repair.
Now, the link no longer works and the phone number is shut down.  Are they still in business?  Will I be able to get my rifle back?
Thanks!   >:(

I understand Ruger purchased Marlin. You might try contacting Ruger and tell them your situation. They might have an answer for you.

Got the rifle back today AND THEY DID NOT FIX IT!!!!!   >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

All they did was return it to me and this is what they said:

"You sent the firearm in this box to Remington for repair or service.  Remington, because of its pending bankruptcy, is currently unable to service or repair any firearms.  Reminton, as such, is hereby returning this firearm to y9ou without the service or repair you requested.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  To the extent that you had any safety concerns with this firearm, then please do not use it or allow anyone else to use it absent the necessary repairs from a qualified gunsmith."

Then they listed a bunch of repair centers they have done business with in the past.

So, back to square one!  I am disappointed!!!!!

Yeah, especially disappointing since you were expecting it to be fixed.  What is broken?  There are some cowboy gunsmiths who are very good with Marlins.
