.43 Spanish
« on: November 07, 2020, 06:11:54 PM »
I'm undertaking reloading for a newly-acquired Remington rolling block carbine in .43 Spanish. I acquired thirty rounds of Bertram brass but have discovered it includes two rim designs. The #17 shell holder that came with my dies handles the brass with a thinner rim. What shell holder handles the thicker? The thicker rim includes a rebated portion next to the base. #@!!*% site won't let me post a photograph.

RCBS #22 should also fit.

Bertram modified the case head and rim thickness of his .43 Spanish, so you probably have have some earlier and later production--seems like it was only a few years ago, but I believe the changeover was in the mid-90's.
