Funny you asked, The gun was quite solid, end shake was nil , Rotation when in battery also nil ..but it did seen to have a tad of
under travel, very minor but still present.
The Grips were clean OEM and overall it was nice piece except for NICKEL stupid nickel
I like a nice nickel gun I even have a few but they were offered nickeled in the day...
not a pimped out war horse.
It was sorta sad , like lipstick on GI Joe....
Ah My Dear Major2
on the one hand, I concurr.
on the other hand, after the war it was "just another 38" , one of tens of thousands, and the "then owner" may have had it nickled
for the same reason many folks have had things armalloyed - that lovely gray industrial hard chrome that is nearly indestructable,
but which relegates said "thing" to being an ugly uncollectable but corrosion-proof tool. Makes for the perfect boat-tool,
spare-in-the-trunk, or off-duty piece.
Unfortunately, the price does not correspond to any reality we are aware of.
rather like the moronic imbeciles ( redundant, yes? ) who bid an item up on fleabay to over twice the retail price
of a new one.
oh look, in addition to using my patented catch phrase ,
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
you made me end my sentence in a
propostion preposterous preposition!
