Morning all.

My phone is the me it's 33 and foggy, but my body thermometer says 50, and my eyes say it's totally clear.

I slept through my alarm this morning, so breakfast didn't happen.  I'm running on Snickers and coffee right now.

Del, a couple days ago they fed us candied sweet potatoes with pumpkin spice and whipped cream.  I don't know what demon possessed the chef, but I felt like calling a preist would be warranted.

Pie with such is good, just use them instead of pumpkin.  Otherwise bake them and add butter or deep fat fry them.

Likely wasn't whipped cream, but melted marshmallow.  One of several evil of Thanksgiving/Christmas Dinners.  Others include weird things called salads, green beans with cream of something soup and them nasty dried out fried onions on top.  Also instant or lumpy mashed taters and of course heat and serve rolls as well as mince meat pies with little or more likely no meat in them.

One reason I don't mind working on those days, I can pick through the leftovers with out judgement.

Sweet potato pie is definitely good.  I just prefer it without pumpkin spice.  I like to cook sweet potatoes over a campfire, with some butter and maple sugar.  Good food after a long hike.  To the subject of origin, it was whipped cream on top.  Redi-whip brand, from a can.

Weather is a little on the chilly side at 50 degrees, but nothing too bad.  Should be flying later.

Got my truck back from it's overnight oil change.  I dropped it off yesterday, but the shop didn't get to it until 4, and they closed at 5.  I was in class from 3-4:30, then had a meeting directly after that went to 6.  I miss being able to do the oil myself.

Del, i started sanding on it. . I don’t own a ordital sander that would make short work of it.

Glen the round griddle cleaned up.  Not like i was hoping but it is useable again. A good orbital sander would finish it up nicely.
My sister said she would take any i don’t want now.

Sorting out better knifes from not so better one. To put in her yard sale this week end.

FFL had a ,

Dang nice 1884 45/70 Springfield made in 1890 .... nice wood, good cartouche(s) modeled Case , but nice 75% Blue
some pits just below the front Barrel band ( flaw's it some ) , real nice bore.
tight breach , correct sights with ramrod bayonet ,strong marks .

NICE gun, bad news is the consigner knows it and its stratosphere priced .... he's about 3-4 hundered over fair market value !

We'll see if he wiggles, when its sat for while... or maybe I'll be wrong and some wag with $$$$.00 burning a hole snags it.

In better news, I hit the Catfish place for lunch ....happy are I  ;) say's me !

Evening all.

Weather took a turn for the weird today.  Hail and freezing rain at 0300, then just overcast and 30 at 0800.  By noon it was 60, and now at 18:45 it's 40 and sunny. Well, there aren't any clouds.  Sun's behind the horizon.

Had a fun experience at the airport yesterday.  And by fun I mean someone almost died.  My flight school shares a ramp with two other hangars/businesses, one of which is an FBO(think truck stop for airplanes). Well, somehow a maintainer at the FBO got struck by a propeller on a Cessna while I was out tying down my Archer after a flight.  Long story short, this guy is really lucky because he had arterial bleeding, but an ambulance was at the FBO after delivering a life flight.  They got a tourniquet on him and off to the hospital. As someone with some medical training I helped out a little. So yeah.  That was great right before dinner.

Today was less interesting.  I got a stomach bug and spent most of the day in bed.  I will-powered myself through classes, and now I'm back in bed watching Military Arms Channel.
