Thanks, Rube. You need to put your finger on top to push down on the tool as you push forward. Then rock it ever so slightly so it walks forward slowly. Unlike the adjustable creasers I've seen, mine has sharp edges that crease the leather almost like a knife.

Love it Marshal. I recently tried to use a similar tool and can't seem to get it lined up enough to really do what I want to do. It's the craftool pro adjustable creaser thought and while I can get it to do good for making a single line with one part off the leather I cannot get it to work right to do two lines both on leather........if that makes sense.

tEN wOLVES  ;D

Thanks Ten Wolves. They fit perfect and have a bit of retention so they are held in nicely.

BROW / Re: #1 Remington Sporting rifle - .44-77

A rainy day here, so I figured it was a good time to load some .44-77s. Not long ago I received the backordered .060" poly wads from BACO. So I loaded up 20 rounds with the 406gr bullets from an Accurate mold wrapped with Seth Cole 55W, loaded over 77.0gr of Swiss 1.5. I'm looking forward to trying them out :-)

Guess I should now sign up, having recently acquired a "semi-correct" Uberti Russian model to go with my North West Mounted Police impression ...

When the Force was first formed in 1873, the latest model Adams military service revolver was ordered from the United Kingdom, but an apparently unscrupulous War Department contractor shipped poorly-packed and obsolete First Model Adams revolvers (converted to metallic cartridge from percussion) many of which were damaged and unserviceable upon arrival.  To help fill the gap until the correct Third Model Adams revolvers were received from Britain, the NWMP acquired thirty S&W Russian Model revolvers.

Illustration from Arms & Accoutrements of the Mounted Police, 1873-1973 -

My Uberti, with the NWMP pattern holster I have made for it.  (I am working on getting more appropriate wood grips.) -

(Note that I referred to my Uberti as "semi-correct", since it has the too-short ejector housing they put on some of their Russian Models ...)

I have an 1860 Spencer Carbine Repeater Rifle Says March on it and I believe the serial number 12622.  How do I find out info on the serial number and the history?
