I recently acquired a Uberti Henry imported by Primitive Arms, Branson, Missouri. Serial #05609. Might anyone know approximately how old this gun might be? An inquiry to Uberti was never answered. Thanks.

All I found out was that they were a importer back in the 80s.

Thank you. That's close enough. Now I know that current replacement parts, if/when needed, will not be available. I would be off to a gunsmith. The gun is unfired in its original box.

Somewhere on Italian guns are some roman numerals which correspond to the year the gun was made, if you want to narrow it down further. Those charts are somewhere here on this site, but also very easy to find with a google search.

I have that chart, but there are no numerals or letters on this gun that natch up with anything on the chart. There is a CAT. 1559 on the frame.

RR, if I remember correctly, I bought a couple of Primitive Arms guns in the early to mid '80's. Maybe 84 or so.
