I don't have any Winchester 73 levergun either clone or actual. Bucket list for Uberti 44 special 24" octagon barrel Sporting rifle.

Don't want 45 Colt or 38/357 calibers. No desire for authentic 'dash' calibers as no desire to buy new dies, bullets, molds, etc. My conversion six shooters are 44 Special, shoot mainly 44 Colt black in them-no desire to buy any "dash" caliber revolvers, don't want to mess with them. I've looked at newer Winchesters out of Japan and not to impressed with wood, besides, none available in 44 Special. I'm fine with Uberti's, besides, I'm one of the few who have no problem with their reddish wood stain (rifles or handgun stocks). If anyone has type of rifle I'm interested in and want to part with it, may be interested. PM me.

I dont have a 73 either - had an original and sold it several years back - dunno why I did that ? Had I known then what I have since learned I think it would have been a decent shooter - if not it would have rebarreled ok. ...............

Thought I had that patch covered with a 66 and a 76 (Ubertis) ----I like my dash calibres - been shooting those most of my life - when I got the 1876 - it HAD TO be a 45/75 - despite the obvious disadvantage of brass for that calibre.

I am 70 - my dad almost 95 (and about ready to leave here) my job dealing with his firearms is a bit sobering - only two of us in the close family really interested in guns and both got too many already - his stuff will likely be dispersed and with our licensing / registration system here its a bit of a chore. Guns keep follerin me home - need to stop that soon.

I still haven't found the "starting part" for building my fantasy '73 trapper in 25-20. Bid on a 2nd Model stripped out frame and lower tang awhile back, but dropped out at $200 dollars. Patience....
