Just finished Lonesome Dove: The Series and the Outlaw years.(10 DVDs) There were a lot of Henry Rifles.More than in any other movie i ever saw.In the screen credits you can read:Firearms: Uberti USA,Inc.
Major, you're thinking of "Ft Dobbs" with Clint Walker & Brian Keith was the guy with the crates of "Hollywood Henrys" aka Model 92 Win. Probably the first movie to feature an Uberti Henry was "Sacred Ground" in 1983. People, this thread was beat to death last year. Do a search.
I have recently purchased a Uberti Henry in 45 Colt. I had wanted one for a long time and because they look "cool". I didn't have a rifle in 45 Colt and a got a food deal on this one. I plan on shootin' BP in it.
FCK,Not all of us read this forum a year ago! If'n ya aren't interested in the topic being recycled, just DON'T read it!
Never saw this movie in Germany.Just ordered it from Amazon. But what i read about this mini series, it is a must to have. The same with Tom Sellecks movies.
Legal pursuits aren't near as much FUN as a good pistol whipping
Reenactors were using the Henry rifle at events in the early 1980's so....I wonder if they weren't being used as early as that in the movies? Any help here with this question? I don't know for sure if one was one in the TV series "The Blue&the Grey"? I know they used a Spencer replica.
