Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad,
today would be their 92th Wedding Anniversary, December 1, 1929
Together they saw the Great Depression, WWII-Pearl Harbour, VE & VJ Day, Korea, Vietnam, JFK assignation, NASA's first flights & and the Moon Landings, the Shuttle and two Kids and two grandchildren.

They lived through, WW1, the Spanish Flu Pandemic, and were present in the crowd, the attempt to assassinate Franklin D Roosevelt March 6, 1933 in Miami.
Something of a noteworthy history, May God bless them.  :)

Added a 03 Springfield and a m1917 (Winchester) Enfield to the WW1 exhibit (guns have not been on display because they had not been deactivated) I pulled the firing pins and now they are in glass cases .
I also pulled a Thompson (current Karr brand) and a 03a3 Springfield for the Dec. 7 display. and will include two Arisaka's
I put a Garand out in the "Battle of the Budge" exhibit as well

I'll post some photos tonight.....  The credit goes to others on these displays

51 here this AM and feeling semi-human again. We had some kind of bug run through the place the last couple days. I'm vertical again, but Lady C is still pretty sick, but better. Major, sorry I will not be able to get the bayonet to you for the 7th. Enjoy the coffee this morning folks.

Does anyone remember one of the most infamous scandals in US history taking place 46 years ago.  The Man on Page 602 of the 1975 Fall and Winter Sears and Roebuck Catalog? ::)

Subject was brought up elsewhere and I remember it well.  Watergate was over and we thought we were moving forward when this popped up or rather out. ::)

Unfortunately I do remember that. It was the scandal of the neighborhood, OMG, the terribleness!

Sears claimed it was a blob in printing, and had not showed up in the spring catalogue, using the same photo.

I guess that winter everybody had nothing else to talk about....

Another fact from the era:

In 1978, Astrophysicist May, while working with Mercury, hypothesized that the rotation of the earth was due to the expansive posterior region of youthful females. This hypothesis has never been refuted in over 40 years, and at this point can practically be considered as fact.

Having spent a day in post-Thanksgiving to pre-Christmas adjustment, started shifting from outside decor to inside decor.  Will now do indoor lights and the second year for our train set we were given by a good friend before his departure to Tennessee.  He wants pics of the result of my first setup.

Evening all.

Currently I am sitting in Great Falls for my monthly dues to Uncle Sam.

It's been a long week for me, 2 trips to Helena, and now Great Falls. I had a friend from the Air Force come into Helena for a visit with some other friends and took a couple days out in Missoula. It was a fun time with lots of junk food.
