45 acp in a vaquero
« on: December 02, 2005, 02:13:56 PM »
I have the birdshead grip 45LC vaqueros which I guess are now old style (but wasn't there one older yet?).

Anyway,  periodically I see some Blackhawk .45 ACP cylinders show up on ebay and was wondering if they might fit the Vaqueros.  The frame looks like it is more or less the same.

They'd most likely fit in yer Vaquero.  The diameter & spacin' are the same.
They'd probably shoot.
But they may have a cylinder to barrel gap that might be too big or small.
Seen it done afore.
