Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

'Tis 65 and fog. "Humid. Partly sunny. Patchy fog in the morning. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. Light and variable wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent. Heat indices to 95."

I'll bet my recent PT and yours are not the same, a couple times I sat in a shower chair and showed them I could get dressed and undressed or rather I guess that was OT aka Occupational Therapy, first time I told them I didn't want a job. ::)

Any physical progress counts.

Great day! Dodged a few thunderstorms to grill boneless ribeyes and mixed veggies. The wife made red, white & blue potato saled and apple dumplings for dessert. Weather providing, we'll have a fire in the pit and watch the local fireworks. Our dog isn't happy with the noise but she'll live.
Happy Independence Day to the dwindling number of folks who are still proud Americans!
At the risk of being accused of "bold talk from a four-eyed fat man" from North of the Medicine Line, I will say that the 2½ year development process for these uniforms seems to have paid off, as I was awarded First Place in both the Enlisted Dress and Field Uniform categories …

(That, or the General and his fellow uniform judges felt sorry for me …  ;)  )

I also managed Second Place in the Black Powder Military Regular Repeating Rifle category (… although I'm unsure of the number of competitors in that category, so perhaps that is nothing to brag about …)

I retired from the phone company.  Worked as a cable splicer.  When replacing old lead sheath cable with plastic sheath the lead splice cases seemed to always follow me home. Pretty well pure lead.  Makes great RB's and bullets as long as you keep the velocity reasonable.  Need to add tin to harden if you're going to push them real fast.  Wish I still had access to my source.

RATS / Re: Need a Heavier Hammer spring for my New Vaquero

Update for the crew.  Had a gunsmith check out the New Vaquero.  The problem is not with the hammer or the hammer spring (he put the original hammer back in and replaced the spring -- and it still would not fire on one chamber.)  In his opinion, the cylinder is out of time.  Looks like it is going back to Ruger.

Doc sends.
