Found out tonight, my aunt, who has been battling cancer on and off for the last 15+ years, has it again and it has metastasized. The docs don't know how long she has. Please pray for her and the family.

Good luck.

Thanks for the additional info.  So, I went back with the magnifier headset and the feeler gauge.  I now can see and feel a 0.0015" gap at the cylinder extension and the barrel.  A 0.002 will not go.  Also, with empty cases in cylinders and at full cock the gap between casing base and recoil shield is 0.005" to 0.006".  I am considering those 'a good to go' level using your new info.  Will still have to shoot BP to be certain.

Again thanks for that additional significant info.
My girls....

The 7.5" is .45 Colt/Schofield, and the 5.5" is an early one that is .45 Schofield only. Thats fine, as I only load .45 Schofield.  I can't remember the last time I loaded .45 Colt!

As you can see, the color case on the 5.5" is faint.  Action, however, feels like it has had a trigger job.  VERY sweet and super SMOOTH!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

She is stuck on $1500.  I have it on hold.  $1500 would likely be fair, but I still hope to get it for $1300-1350.

I actually have no clue what "number" of Cap the RWS 1075 equates to.  Or Who's number.  Dixie says "# 11".   OK.  Who's #11??

Personally, I don't piddle around trying "other" caps.  I haven't had a need.  Kept stock of Remington # 10 on hand.  Happy camper.

I have heard tell and seen others who have had less than stellar results with RWS Caps and that mystifies.  After all, as with this side of the pond, the two Biggies are Uberti and Pietta.  One would think, RWS would optimize caps to work well on those OEM nipples??  Or . . . . perhaps they (RWS Caps) do work and the users are just not seating the caps onna nipples for the most Harmonious outcome??

I use to piddle with different Caps.  A long long time ago.  But after switching to Slix nipples, they being optimized for Remington # 10, there was no need.  Oh well.

Stay Safe Out There
