Afternoon all.

Smoky and mid 80s here today. Going to help feed equestrians later because of smoke.

In other news, I got a good deal on an upper for an AR today. It’s a 7” pistol upper in 300 Blackout. Came with the bolt carrier, charging handle and 10 magazines. I hadn’t really planned on building an AR pistol, but I’m easily persuaded in that area.

The others likely don't want to either because he'll tell what he knows.  Figure they all struck a deal.   Ain't any of them worth much, but as long as they keep us one one side or the other they know they got us. ::)

Fred slid on by with little effect here, goody, and as of now Grace looks to do the same.
Still another month and 1/2 to go and some serious bad storms have come in late Aug-Sept....

Morning,
Can't sleep, so coffee and tea are on. Cinnamon raison toast and egg frittata. Yogurt for those inclined.
High of 89 degrees, a bit of breeze in the a.m., partial clouds. Sounds like a nice day ahead.

Changed the Oil & Filter on the JD, gotta love the 30 second quick change system , no muss, no fuss,  it ain't cheap @ $39
but no tools , no dirty oil to drain or dispose of. air filter was even easier to change all toll  under 2 minutes tops Oil & Air.
I'll change the fuel filter after I mow today that way I won't leak gas all over

Got a BBQ Samach while I was in town .... now to the reloading project  :)

I have some 105 cast Kieth bullets for my Charter. I haven’t gotten them loaded yet. I only have  W231 at the moment. I also can’t go test any loads because of fire restrictions.

As of today I am in Helena, learning to fight fires. Again. Uncle Sam said so. Today was 9 hours of PowerPoint training. I learned absolutely nothing, but I got paid $18/hour for it, so I guess I have that.

I have a great respect for the Firefighters and smokejumpers and the job they do against the peril they face.
Even GREATER respect and honor to the Men & Women of the armed forces, facing enemies foreign and domestic.

I use 105 grain bullets in both my rifle and pistol. Try 3.0( Three point zero) grains as a starting point in .38 special cases, should be a nice mid range load.

I'm here, kid went back to school so drive to and from till Rita can drive again.  Taking care of cripples is work, but she is doing good, hopefully early to mid October for the next one, get her healed up by the first of the year.  Working to see if I can go to UNMC after the first of the year, they are doing laparoscope artery replacement now and they are only one of 4 in the US.   Would like to get the problem one fixed and maybe I can have more of a normal life.    This running at 40% sucks.
