I can't see buying a lever action rifle in a caliber that is smaller than 38 Special. It's pretty expensive too. Pass.

An antique replica rifle in a modern chambering, not existing in the 1800's is a complete contradiction in terms and spirit of the game. . . in my opinion.

I'd love one in 9mm but the threaded barrel makes it against da rules for SASS. Right?

Everybody has their own opinion on what is or is not overly anachronistic. Our game is silly no matter how you slice the cookie. What a gun is chambered in near the bottom of what I would be concerned about. But boy oh boy is that all a separate conversation entirely.

Sass approved this rifle if the suppressor threads are covered with a smooth cap. 9mm is also SASS approved except for Classic Cowboy.

Excellent, thanks for the update.

Is the rule only for this one rifle in particular? Or can anything have threads now as long as they are covered?

That means I'd happily take one of these rifles. Now I juat need to find $2000 somewhere.

Banks.  Think Banks.  Banks have lots of "thousands" just sitting on the shelves.  Just go in and ask for it by name  ;D

Oops.  Forgot.  The SASS ruling for the thread cap applies to the Taylors rifle.  The best of my limited knowledge, it was a "one off" application for acceptance of the 9mm Taylor '73
