USFA

Does anyone here have a USFA Premium Grade Single Action?  If so, what do you think of it?

Also, the MSRP at the web page.  Is that pretty much cut in stone with dealers??

Thanks,

I just bought a Single Action model and so far i have no complaints. I am having  BarS Grips put some Truivory grips on it. It should be done tomorrow. So i will pick it up then.

The dealers don't usually charge factory price. You do need to shop around for a stocking dealer. These guns are popular so it may be tough to find, it depends on which model you want. I know where there are some, if you are interested e-mail me.

Thanks,

Howdy and welcome to USFA CSS!  :)

You can find all sorts of info here about the USFAs. I own two of the premium grades and absolutely love them. As a "smith" of 25+ years, doing action jobs on Colts and all the copies, I can tell you without hesitation that the USFAs are the finest SAAs made. The machining on them is second to none! I have owned them all, Colts, Ubertis, ASM, Rugers, etc., and the USFAs are hands down, the best I have ever owned.

If you are in the market, check with Marshal Halloway. I know his price for the Rodeos is fairly good, and I am sure he can get you a good price on a Premium Grade, also. Tell him RRio, sent ya!

I have 2 engraved premiums.  One ~3 years old, one ~6 months old.  The newer one is far better machined than the older one, and both of them beat my engraved Colt in the machining and fit.

IMHO  USFA SA's are to the single action shooter what Kimber is to the Semi Auto shooter.

Brand recognition aside------ Colt Vs Everything else

USFA is a better built pistol

I totally agree.  The only way the American made Colt could be bested is by other American made high quality firearms, or if Colt decided to get it's head back in the game and quit with the excuses!  USFA's advertisement asks if the consumer felt as if they were born a hundred years too late, and I respond with a loud no because I would not have been able to enjoy the higher quality of the USFA SAA's.  This way I get both old Colts and great USFA SAA's.
