Why I wound up not needing it?

Because I got an excellent deal on a full length unfinished 1898 stock and handguard later on, and I am not building two rifles.

Need to find my camera and take pics..
But this is a finished replacement stock and unfinished forend wood I picked up for a Krag rifle and wound up not using.

Its cut off at the lower band, so should be easy enough to glue and pin the forend onto it for a full length stock.

I have an unfinished handguard cut for a 1905 model to go in the deal as well. (pretty sure its a 1905? its for the rear sight that has the windage swivel base, I believe.)

$200 and whatever the shipping turns out to be.

If theres interest, I'll get some pics up when I figure out where the camera wound up.

an excellent Winchester 1873 Short Rifle chambered in 45 Colt, sometimes referred to as 45 Long Colt or 45LC. Polished blue with a 20" barrel, bore is bright and rifling is crisp. Beautiful walnut furniture. The previous owner bought it to shoot Wild Bunch matches but since 38 caliber is legal now he no longer needed a 45 Colt rifle. He stated he used it for 4-5 matches and round count is about 250. Action is smooth as silk and the factory links are about the same as a 3rd generation short stroke kit that some shooters have installed in the Uberti 73's.There is a scratch on the left side plate, it's not deep but I mention it because nobody like surprises. Other than that it's like new. Ships in original factory box with manual.

If you live anywhere close to Liberty Missouri, Definitely go to James Country and see Del and Jean.  On a side note, when traveling and planning on a overnight stay, ALWAYS KNOW WHERE TAYLOR SWIFT is.  we went to see Jean and Del and ended up spending the night in Sedalia Missouri.

I have two holsters for sale that I no longer have a need for. One is a floral carved left hand holster for an 8 inch S&W "american" made by Stan Dolega at Wolf ears equipment. The other holster is a right hand holster for a Schofield made by Michael Simmons at Skillet Creek leather. Both are in excellent condition. The "american" holster was originally $180 + shipping. I'm asking $130 shipped. The schofield holster was $92 + shipping.  Asking $80 shipped.
