It's nice to see someone who admirably served our country being honored. Thank you.

You did a great job of duplicating the Holster rig.

I admire Gen. Robin Olds - Triple Ace fighter pilot from WW2 p38 Lightening and p-51 Mustang and in Vietnam the F-4 Phantoms.

He wore a GUU-1/P US Contract Holster and Mod 15-2 S&W Combat Masterpiece on a modified web pistol belt (close up 3rd photo)
I decided to make a replica of his belt for my original AF issue
GUU-1/P Holster.
I limited my version to 12 rounds and wall hung it,
I may make another Loop slide sometime. But at the moment that the leather I had on hand.

 :) Galloway ;)

Gad Zooks but certainly hope NOT  ;D   I once knew a guy who reamed a Colt 44 Special cylinder to sort of accept 454 cases.  The result was Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and iced tea are ready.

'Tis 73 and cloudy. "Very warm and humid. Partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent. Heat indices to 97."

I'm still trying to figure out what you're actually trying to accomplish with "Cowboy" loads in your Rossi '92.  If what you are after is lower recoil, your go at it the wrong way.  Recoil is the product of the weight of the projectile and its velocity.  Reducing the powder charge won't have the desired effect.  To reduce recoil, you need to reduce the weight of the projectile.  Drop the bullet weight to 185Gr or 160Gr and there will be a marked reduction in recoil.

Heavy bullets don't really fix "Stove Piping" in the '92.  Stove Piping is caused by the lifter bouncing the round around.  The faster you run the rifle, the more pronounced the bouncing becomes.  this is because the Cartridge Guides leave too much play in the cartridge lift.  As I mentioned before, the right side cartridge guide needs shimmed to just kiss the cartridge case which stabilizes the cartridge.

I thought so too Kevin, I just stumbled across the guy's site.
I've used mine own version for years.
Like these Berthier Artillery Musketoon (Label rounds)

But I saw his M41 38 Box's perfect for display with either my 1945 Colt Commando and/or 1965 S&W Combat Masterpiece.

I have three similar unopened original WW2 45 ACP boxes
Mr. Roberts gave me when I received his issue Ithica.

Greetings all.

Got pounded with lightning the past few days. Got 18 fires out of it, only 2 went anywhere. One is 300 acres with roads all over. The other is 25 acres and a 2 mile hike 1200 feet up a steep hill to get to. Want to guess which I was on until 4am :-\
It was only 2 acres when we got there, and we almost had it caught, then we had a medical incident and had to abandon the fire (the patient is fine and will make a full recovery by the end of the week).

Y'all keep cool.
