Zulus in Dare Co again.
« on: January 28, 2024, 07:35:41 PM »
The Zulu nation once again has attacked the British forces at the outpost near Mann’s Harbor Dare Co. After 4 stages they retired from the battle. None of the defenders were seriously injured. The surgeon carefully removed the iklwa from me and I carried on for Queen and Country. It seems to happen around every 22-23 January. We were able to then regroup and retire to Darrells for our delayed Christmas dinner, election of officers and Chinese gift exchange. God save the Queen.

Howdy Baltimore,

Sounds like a battlefield triumph and a fine tradition upheld.

Thats a neat outfit you you're wearing. What kind of rifle are you shooting? Every time I watch the movie "ZULU" I get the urge to buy a Martini Henry.

Thank you. The rifle is a Uberti 1866 44-40 Musket that I ordered through ‘Taylors&Co [I think]. Did the usual stuff to it, weaker springs, harder screws]. It turned into a nice day after the weather man had been threatening us with a rain out. I came in 2nd place in the double action category. My revolvers were a rare MkVI with a 4 inch barrel and a Webley Wilkinson 1911 Model.

Congratulations on your second place win. I thought that might have been a Henry. I forgot they made a musket. Looking good.
