1976 Rugers
« on: November 22, 2013, 11:17:12 AM »
Howdy all, in 1976 Ruger put out a series of guns that werec marked "Made in the 200th year of American Liberty" I have 3 of these, the single six in 22 caliber, the 357 Blackhawk and the Super Blackhawk in 44 magnum. My questions are besides the security six what other guns were made in the series?
Thanks All

I've always thought the inscription was on all Rugers made in 1976.  I've seen it on a lot of long guns and hand guns.

Just did a quick Google search and found 10-22s, Mini-14s, bolt actions, single shot rifles all marked "200th Year of American Liberty."

I have an ROA that has that inscription, ser. no. 5118 and another that doesn't, ser. no. 2868 and both are 1976 as far as I know from the Ruger list.

Both are used regularly in CAS comps and I have the British, Nitro Converted cylinders for both.
Trouble is...when I'm paid to do a job, I always carry it through. (Angel Eyes, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly)
