9x19 cylinder for new vaquero
« on: December 29, 2007, 03:03:07 PM »
I have a new model vaquero and was wondering if the blackhawk cylinders from the convertible model might fit or if there was someone who made a cylinder in 9x19 (9mm luger parabellum).
I also do a lot of 9mm shooting in semi-autos and would be nice to use the same for practice out of vaqueros.

Yup, I recollect they (9mm Blackhawk cylinders) will physically fit, but should be fit to the gun so's the timing, gap, etc will work safely.

Ruger used to sell .45 ACP cylinders & 9mm cylinders & fit 'em to Blackhawks for $100+.
But no more.  AND THEY WILL NOT DO IT FOR A VAQUERO.  Well, not for me, anyhoo.  ::)
