Hi all,

I am looking for some of the Cheyenne 44-40 boxes that have been out of production for several years now.

I have some other Cheyenne boxes that I'd be more than willing to trade box for box if anyone has any to spare.  I have 14 45 Colt boxes, 3 357 Magnum boxes and 2 older style 44-40 (2-piece that break in the middle - they were part of some 1/1000 special and are a little larger than the later 44-40 boxes and a different label).  The 44-40 boxes are brand new, as are 10 of the 45 Colt boxes (still in plastic wrap) and all of the others are unused as best as I can tell.

Also interested if anyone has any of the Cheyenne 45-70 boxes.

Also willing to entertain buying 44-40/45-70 boxes or selling some/all of the extra boxes I have if trading isn't an option.Cheyenne Boxes2.jpg

Thanks for looking!

I think have a few, I need to look,
They were given to me, so I'd Pay it Forward.

I never quite understood their marketability at $5 or so each.

I made my own boxes for less than a $1 each and even gave some away. I guess I was not an entrepreneur  :-\

Thank you very much Major 2.  If you do find any you'd be willing to part with, I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands (at least let me know what shipping would be - it's a real killer now with just about anything, geez!).

As far as your boxes, I'll say that they are definitely a step...or five...above the Cheyenne boxes for authenticity.  You might be missing out on an opportunity given the void right now (just sayin').

I'd also thought about finding some boxes and doing some labels, but have had trouble finding the right size boxes - I will say that the Cheyenne boxes are definitely well fitting for 44-40.

You can go to the NCOWS website and print labels off that. When I was working at
a printing company I had access to the right cardboard and a big guillotine cutter.
So I did some careful measurements and I can make 38 long Colt, 44/40, and 45 colt. I have some cardboard left but my supply is limited. They are the 3 piece with a string to tear them open,
Some may be for sale in Tombstone this winter. I have donated a few full boxes at events.

In Cheyenne boxes all I have is 44 Russian and 45 Schofield.

I do have some loose 44/40 labels and some 44 Henry Labels
I sold my only 44/40 Rifle and the boxes when with it.

I have this label sized for the Cheyenne Cartridge Box, if you care to relabel an existing surplus box.

I would like to meet up with you in Tombstone this winter if possible. I live a few miles north of there and should be at Bordertown. We shoot at the Livery every once in a while.
