I got a call from my frendly LGS last Friday to come check out and appraise a few guns in a collection.
I was working at the Museum Friday & Sat., the LGS is closed Sun. & Mon. so today is my go to....
I don't know what the collection is yet, but I'll report back.
Edit: I'm back, something of a sad sight.
The collection was a 1941 Walther P38 w/ Waffen marks numbers matched.
A Ruby semi-automatic pistol of .32 ACP caliber made by Gabilondo y Urresti
and a Smith & Wesson Model 1 ½ spur trigger top break revolver, .32 caliber, 3” barrel.
Sadly all three were rattle can painted simi gloss black.
The checkered wood Grips on the Ruby were covered in polyurethane
Both scales on the S&W were missing chips and one was cracked clear thru,
The P-38 might clean up, no clue what you'd find finish wise under it though?
(I'd strip the paint on all 3 and said so)
I'm sure the fellow that brought them in, will not like the low appraisal I gave for them.
But, it is what it is, Bubba -uped as they are

Not for the faint of heart, evert your eyes

Oh! the P-38 had a holster (owner though was original) well it is, post-war German police issue.
You see them on eBay, for time to time.
