The Barracks / I will not make the muster this year, again
« Last post by Delmonico on Today at 04:19:00 PM »
I was planning on returning to the Muster this year in a limited capacity, was planning on just making a supper for the campers and to run errands to town.
It will not happen this year, for those who don't know it, my wife has cancer and is going through Chemo so I am needed at home, am still planning on next year if it works out, I miss everyone.
When I do make it I have some new recipes to use.

I am doing better but you will never see me working at the capacity I used to.

For those who don't know, we or I lucked out in 2019 that I did not have a massive heart attack, I had several angina attacks I thought were a form of acid reflux from a narrowed esophagus, symptoms are almost the same and had that fixed in 2015.  Thought it was back, trouble breathing bent over and chest pains.  Anyway most know I had a quad bypass for Christmas in 2019.  Had one graft partly go down in June, had Covid in 2021 and all kinds of fun crap.  Got the OK from the Dr and this springs up.  Do say some prayers for Rita.

Oh she had an A Fib problem when I was in for the Quad.  And yes I still have my warped sense of humor.  Had thought I might be able to come up a bit at least to hang around and watch but she has chemo that thursday.

The Leather Shop / Re: Sunday Holster
« Last post by BrushyCreekDouglas on Today at 03:45:35 PM »
Just finished another “Brill” tribute holster for a customer. I enjoy making these, but man alive this particular style of holster is one of the most time consuming and tedious rigs I do. I would’ve loved to have sat in the shop with Mr. Rabensburg and learned how in the world he did such beautiful work on such a complex design.

Truly, in the beginning Brill was king.

Slowly getting some rain, still dry but not as bad.  All coming from little cells, won't get none and a few blocks away they get a downpour.  Canadian smoke moved out, been rough.

Frontier Iron / Schofield barrel rotating screw
« Last post by Oranedward on Today at 12:46:35 PM »
I have a Uberti Schofield revolver. The only thing that I cannot get apart is the barrel rotation screw (bolt?). The blind side rotates when turning the slotted end. It seems that the blind side should have a groove that locks it into place. Mine does not do so. Has anyone else had this problem and, if so, how did you fix it?

USFA CSS / Re: ALL US Made USFA
« Last post by Dave T on Today at 10:56:13 AM »
Unless they are consecutive serial numbers I would suggest selling them individually.  Given the prices being ask for USFA guns these days only a few people can afford even one, and I would love to have a 44 WCF "Frontier Six Shooter" from USFA.  Unless you're talking about a high end collector most folks couldn't afford two of them without a second mortgage.

Morning y'all.
Coffee and tea are ready.

'Tis 58 and cloudy. "Mostly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent."
