9mm Pinfire Revolver
« on: June 15, 2022, 01:56:22 PM »
Hello,

Any folks use pinfire firearms as part of their persona?   I recently found a 9mm Casimir Lefaucheux marked revolver.   I purchased the reloading kit from France and am just waiting to do a range session with it.   Cheers Kevin.

I used to shoot an underlever Lefaucheaux pinfire shotgun.  Wasn't allowed to shoot it in CAS matches, and eventually traded it off.
In my book a pioneer is a man who turned all the grass upside down, strung bob-wire over the dust that was left, poisoned the water, cut down the trees, killed the Indian who owned the land and called it progress.  Charles M. Russell

I think the idea of pinfire is interesting, but i don't think a lot of people shoot them nowadays since any firearm that uses the ammunition are 160yrs old and the other factor is the ammunition. Saw one video online where a swedish man converted some 45 acp cases to 11mm pinfire and that took a lot of work that majority of people aren't going to do for one gun.

      Greetings!

For a technique involving the manufacture of Pin-Fire Cartridges using modern cartridge brass, find a copy of George Nonte's, "Handloading For Handgunners".
Best of Luck & keep us posted!
