Title: Missouri Bullet Co. black powder lube
Post by: treebeard on October 24, 2020, 04:52:13 PM
I was able to get a box of Missouri Bullet Co. 38-40 180gr bullets with their black powder lube. I was curious if anyone here had experience with their BP lubed bullets in terms of their effectiveness at keeping BP residue soft. Input is appreciated!!

It's not so much the brand of lube but, the amount of lube your bullets carry that keeps the fouling soft.

I have used Missouri Bullets 105gr .358 Cowboy BP Bullets with GOEX Old Eynsford in 38 Long Colt cartridges.  In my revolvers: good lube star and no binding issues after 5 to 6 stages. I have not used this bullet in my rifles, but I suspect it carries too little lube to get the job done even with a 16” barrel.

 :)  Well . . . It's Monday   ;)

In case ya haven't noticed.  Yepper, It's Monday  :D  Ye Haw.   Monday is the first day of my WEEKEND!!  And my contribution to this endeavor will add absolutely no useful information for the OP.  NONE.  Not one bit.  However, I would like to add,  I shoot THREE . . . yes, that's actually 3 Rifles with 16 inch barrels.  Two 45s and a 44 Special (use Russians) and I use NO LUBE whatsoever.  Nice distinct "star" on the end of the barrel for all three.  Because, you see, APP needs no lube.  Or use bullets with smokeless lube.  No matter.  Wonderful stuff.

Allowing for this missive not contributing to the OP, it may well be ignored.  Heck, I'd ignore it.  I won't feel at all slighted should you choose to ignore it.  However, keep in mind, if your reading this portion of my non-contribution,  IT'S TOO LATE BUTTERCUP!!

Well, Builder of Wood Boxes Shaped like a Person, I can't find APP anywhere in Arizona, and I've been looking for a couple years. Sounds like wonderful stuff, 'cept I'm told it doesn't smell right! (smiley face goes here)

Well partner, you've come to the right place.  Contact Scarlett at "Bullets by Scarlett."  She is a major dealer/distributor of APP and be your Heroine to the Rescue.  local gun shops and sporting goods shops should be able to order it in unless they are just TWITS!!

Well, with all the Leftists fleeing their own voting record in CA and stopping in AZ, twittery is on the rise around here.

OOPS! That was kind of a political statement, which we ain't supposed to do here.

Shame on me,
Dave
