Three questions for the initiates if I may:
# When USFA first launched their Bisleys in ca. 1995 where they using Uberti parts like for their early SAAs?
# When did USFA discontinue the making of their Bisleys?
# How many Bisleys where made by USFA?
This info is requested for a German language article on these iconic SA revolvers.
Thanks

 :) Hiya LJW!! ;)

I actually don't know the answer to any of your questions.  Just been a while since we've seen you on the forums and just thought it nice to jump in and say HI!!  And HAPPY HOLLIDAYS!!

All Bisleys and Flat-tops are built on Uberti frames.

Some USFA Bisley's are obviously Uberti sourced but some later ones are every bit as well fitted and finished as the 100% American made SAA's. Some of the Flattop Bisley's have different sights than what Uberti offered, USA styled cylinder flutes and appear to me to have different grip shape. If they were built on Uberti frames I would have say they must have lots of USA parts. Some of them have serial numbers and box styles that would indicate they were made or at least assembled long after USFA stopped using Italian parts for their SAA's.

All the Bisley and Flat-top specific parts are Uberti. Even Uberti Bisleys and flat-tops changed. I have two Uberti Bisleys of different vintages and they are completely different. Grips won't even interchange.
