No Sir, I never heard of it...had to look it up just to see what you were talking about . ???
Even then, I did not see "IT" when I read what it was about.

I could spare 50 new Starline

I sent some to another just this week, sadly shipping is pricy
true, the other guy in the post I sold the schofield brass to, after the shipping cost I barely had any $$$ to show for it. All went to gasoline plus some the next day. These times stink.

Looking for new or once fired. 50 to 200 pieces.
yeah I was the buyer for some brass from major 2 so buy with confidence.
I am in need of .45-75 cases made from resized .348 W-W brass.  The W-W make .348 brass works very well and feeds correctly in my .45-75 rifles.  Fired is OK.   Let me know what you have and what you want for it.
I know Buffalo Arms sometimes has these.  They are currently out of stock and the stuff they sell now is not W-W make brass.
I have had good luck with W-W make cases, I don’t want to change horses in the middle of the stream…
As a scammer prevention tool, I will only deal with established members, preferably known to me from the 1876 rifle thread.  Times we live in...
i have 160 or so loaded .348 winchester rounds. I believe 6 are vintage winchester on an old original opened box, 1 or 2 boxes of the winchester they made in the 80’s I believe, and 80-100 rounds of hsm modern ammo. I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for but just thought I’d throw it out there as I sold my model 71 and forget I had the ammo. Will be trying other ways to sell it soon. Thanks.

I usually carry one of my .22 Woodsmans if I’m in the woods on my 33 acre property. But I probably have my edc too. Already had several moccasins in my face while working out there cleaning up the previous owners trash and clearing dead trees. We’ve found 12 tires, a hot water heater, two tvs, box fan plus there are possibly the remains of two vehicles, ranges and who knows what else. I need a Kodiak 4x4.

You need a doodle bug with a crane....
And a better fence  :D :D :D

Does anyone remember one of the most infamous scandals in US history taking place 46 years ago.  The Man on Page 602 of the 1975 Fall and Winter Sears and Roebuck Catalog? ::)

Subject was brought up elsewhere and I remember it well.  Watergate was over and we thought we were moving forward when this popped up or rather out. ::)

Unfortunately I do remember that. It was the scandal of the neighborhood, OMG, the terribleness!

Sears claimed it was a blob in printing, and had not showed up in the spring catalogue, using the same photo.

I guess that winter everybody had nothing else to talk about....

Packing Iron or other books that have historic photos of guns and equipment are good sources.

You might also net some good designs by searching for "historic" or "antique" leather work.
Spencer Shooting Society / Spencer Carbone Serial Number Help
« Last post by bboy80601 on December 02, 2021, 10:15:49 PM »
Brand new member here! I bought my first Spencer carbine and I am in love! I would like some help identifying it and if where it was issued.

I believe it’s a model 1860 sent to Springfield Armory around 1867.  It has the cutoff installed and serial number is 39208 but there is no serial number matching under the barrel, only some marks.    The top of the barrel is not marked for a model 1865.

Any help would be appreciated.  I’ll try to attach a picture of the underside of the barrel.
