After the grandmaster, I decided I wanted to get a Swiss rifle because of the ease in working the bolt left-handed. Today I picked up a Swiss rifle in 7.5 x 55 and now I need help with the reloading. Where do I find brass, bullets? Also I will need reloading information. Excited about shooting this rifle. all help will be appreciated

Which model did you get? A K31 or 1911 is as good as they get. If you have an 1889, go easy on the the reloads, it not near as strong from a metallurgical standpoint. Bore diameter is .306-.307, I do shoot .308 diameter in both 1911 and a K31 with no problems. Very good cast bullet shooter.

It's a 96/11. Thanks for the info.  Now comes the fun. I really thank this is the bolt action rifle for a left handed shooter.

I have an 89 Swiss and so does Weaver he also has the same gun you do I believe. I shoot 309" 200 grain gas checks no problem I do use trail Boss it's the only cartridge I use it in. I will be at the kvc in a couple weeks and can bring you some loading info. Normally get my brass through graf and sons.

I do trim mine to 53.5 mm just to keep my brass separate from Weaver's because I do not resize only the neck, it is not needed because the throat and then he's rifles is very oversized. Ptvi Partizan brass, I see they are out of stock right now if you cannot find some let me know before kvc I do believe you're coming to that I'll bring you a bag.

I will be at the Buffalo shoot in Lebo. Looking forward to talking about how to shoot and reload the Swiss rifle. I will throw it in with my Buffalo rifle and we may just shoot it for grins.
THANKS

Hey Dan,
As WD said the .308-309 bullets work fine. Graf and Sons is my go-to for brass. Trail Boss or light to mid-range Krag loads work well. Keep in mind the sight is set for 300 meters, kentucky elevation is needed or Swiss Products out of Montana sells a replacement front sight calibrated for 100 yds. not much of an issue at skirmish distances but very helpful for long range. The 96/11 is much stronger than the 1889 action and can handle the modern loads that are available, that will allow you another source for brass and an option for long range. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Graf and son did not have brass, but had ammunition for $23 a box of 20. I ordered four boxes thought that would start me on the brass and allow me to shoot the gun. Which I've not done yet. Where do you buy your bullets? I usually buy mine from Missouri bullet and I don't see where they list any 308

Dan this is what I use they can be ordered 309 might have to call them to get that now. I use this bullet in four different rifles and had good luck four different calibers.
Plus the last time I got a shipment all the bullets come in MTM green ammo boxes, obviously can be used for loaded ammo win win.
