I would love to shoot my MK VI Webley (single action only) in a SASS Match.  That would be awesome!!!!!  I'd pair it with my .45 1875 Schofield.

I like to make my own boxes to go with my loads.
 * These two 12 round packs are (1944 & 48) 43? (replica)
 * An interim war UMC commercial box of 50 (replica)
 * US Contract 45 ACP with moon clips (replica)
 * Remington 1940-44 box

Ugh, cylinder went out of my price range. I think it is at $435, with 3 days left, and four of five guys bidding.  Dang, I guess I'll stick with 262 grain RNHB .455 Webley loads, only in .45 Auto Rim cases.

That's just nuts, and more than I paid for my gun  :o

Holy smokes.  Auction is up to $560 for just the cylinder.  I paid $610 for the MK VI with shaved cylinder.  .Yep, I think .45 AR Webley loads are just fine.

Seriously, as much as I would love to find an original cylinder, it's not worth more than I paid for the shaved revolver for the cylinder.  That would have been a $1350 revolver!  My "thick rimmed" (.45 AR) MK I Webley loads are just fine! LOL ;D

 :) Hey TL >:(

I find it obscene, the prices "Collectors" have driven for otherwise just nice Shooters stuff.  Good thing I don't "collect" anything.  That kind of pricing takes it away from someone who just wants to be able to go out and play with their revolver.  If the part even gets installed on a revolver, it'll just sit in the back of some safe not doing anyone any good.

Shocking gavel price, I agree with Mike...
 "Collectors" prices are NUTS!  :o

I do have modest collections but scalpers, have made the hunt far more challenging.

Well, I did it.  Found an unshaved .455 cylinder in a complete barrel assembly for $675.  The Complete .45 AR pistol was $610, so I am in it $1285, which is still cheaper than un-shaved complete pistols go for.

I can probably sell the extra barrel with shaved cylinder for a couple hundred, so that puts my net to about $1075.I can also sell my .45 Auto Rim brass.  That usually sells well.

I have about 300 rounds of .455 Webley MK II brass already. Now I need to load some .455 cases with 4.3 of WW231 and the 262 grain HB Bullet.

I'm probably silly for spending that much for an un-shaved cylinder, considering the only real difference between the original MK I .455 case (.8860" length) and the .45 Auto Rim case (.9004" length) is a thicker rim.  The problem is.... it just wasn't right.

Shooting .45 AR in a Webley is like going to your Senior prom with your female cousin as a date.  Sure, you can probably have a good enough time, but not a REALLY good time LOL!

There is something positively sexy about the stubby little .455 MK II or MK VI rounds.[/QUOTE]

Depends (no not that brand) as I say depends on how far a cousin removed, she is.... :-\

LOL when I was a teenager, I once dated a distant cousin (4th or 5th IIRC), and it did not raise any eyebrows, even in my consdervative Irish Catholic family.  She was a LOT of fun. ::)

I would love to use my MK V and MK VI at a SASS match!  I believe NCOWS allows them, but no NCOWS in Northern CA.

BTW, got the unshaved cylinder for my MK VI Webley today! Woot woot
