Yes, they're gascheckable. (Is that a word?) In fact, I have gas checked some of them even for the Trailboss loads. So far I haven't  tried they at full velocity or at long range.

eagerly waiting for a ballistics report.  Currently, I'm using 39 gr. of IMR 4350- this duplicates the service rounds performance.

Question on those bullets- do you bell the case?

Niederlander

I'd use a Lyman M Die, 31 caliber.  They work great with cast bullets.

These are not longer available... sorry

I haven't and I do occasionally run into issues because of it.

Hi

I also create cute little lead moons when loading Krag rounds.  What new die do I need to buy?   ;D
Seems like that belongs in some weird nursery rhyme.

Later hell its already late!!

I bell my cases and everything loads better because of it (Lee Universal Flaring die)... I do get some odd bulging on one side quite often, but that could be because I anneal after each shooting... way less split cases that way. Generally the bulge does not impact chambering.

I have an extra barrel to test chambering in (a cut down barrel with the chamber intact bought before they went ridiculously expensive), so if the round doesn't fit then I take it apart and try again.

I actually just used eggleston 30 cal 200 gr sized to .311 (https://www.egglestonmunitions.com/shop.html#!/30-Caliber-200gr-Round-Nose/c/146121020) and had great success!
