So I recently slow rust blued my 1851 conversion.

This is the conversion that screws into the frame and has a loading gate.

In my reconstruction, I screwed up the spring that works with ball on the loading gate.

Does anyone know either where to get a replacement...or what size they are so I can source a replacement?

Thanks in advance!

I think a few people on here have R&D conversions so maybe somebody has one like that.  If not, I'd ask Kenny: https://howellarms.com

Turns out I was trying to put the firing pin rebound spring in the loading gate assembly.

I figured this out when I found another spring in the pile of screws that actually WAS the loading gate ball spring...of course this was after totally screwing up the firing pin rebounding spring.

Luckily for me, Kenny had these firing pin springs on his site.

Thanks, Abilene...I would have found them without your suggestion!

 :) WELL HECK ;)

Whilst we be cogitating about 1851 conversions . . . . I had an unfortunate experience this past Saturday.  At a CAS match naturally.  The experience was predicated on a Faux Pax the last time I cleaned my Pietta 1851 44 Snubbie conversions.  OK, sure I know an 1851 44 is/was a never never but so what??  Anyway, I removed the Howell type cylinders from the guns and re-converted the guns with Kirst Konverter.  The problem is the Pivot Screw to the Loading Gate.  When not secured, one of them tends to back out, and when last cleaned, when I reassembled, I neglected to add a tiny dollop of Blue LocTite.  Oopsies.  Oh DARN.  So said screw did in fact back out whilst firing and on the second stage of the day, locked the gun up solid.  I hadda eat penalties for three unfired rounds inna gun (boo hiss)

Moral of the story.  Don't be traipsing around with a screw loose  ;D
