RIP Olivia de Havilland. Passed today at 104.

What a classy Lady!

To paraphrase...

"Look for Her only in film , for She is no more,  a dream remembered. A grand lady Gone With the Wind."

Farewell and God speed Miss Melanie  :(

Sad to hear, and with her goes the best of the era. She was quite probably the last of the major stars from many of the great movies we all grew up on. She was Miss Melanie, Maid Marion and so many more. Vaya con dios,  great lady, we will miss you, and likely never again see your equal.  :'(

Very likely not. She took with her the end of an era. The golden age of Hollywood we all grew up on. She's up there with the rest of them now. Vio Con Dios...

Interestingly, her character was the frail one who died in "Gone with the wind". And she was the last of the cast still alive.

Yes, Melanie died in "Gone with the Wind".

But Melanie was not frail. Not by a long shot. She was the toughest character in the book and in the movie, she only looked frail.

Apparently Olivia de Havilland was also though.

Godspeed fair lady.  :(
