Interesting as the MSRP is going to be close to the actual new production Colt's. However this is a blued gun where the Colt is stainless with a black finish. Looking forward to seeing this new beast.

I read somewhere that it will retail for just over $1300 USD. I'd like to check it out too. The 4" version.

What does a real one cost though?

I know Colts are expensive but I didn't realize they were so desirable as to get this treatment.

It'll be interesting to see how it is, but at that price, i don't think I need one.

 :)  Ah Gosh  ;)

Current look-up shows the MSRP for the "Nice" Pythons to be Seventeen Hundred, in fine folding money.  Word on the street is most retailers are selling 'em for much higher.  Which makes the Pietta Clone (yes, auntie Agnes, genuine CLONE) not so bad.  Still, not cheap.  Plus, it's the wrong caliber.  Now, were Pietta to Clone the Anaconda > > > > >

Righteous Indeed!!  I certainly think a 1917 in 45 could well fill the bill.  There was a time in my sordid past when I was hot for a pair of 3.5 inch Schofields to be sent to T K Precision for their 45 ACP work.  Right up until I found I couldn't shoot Schofields worth beans.

Of course, when one does one's research, one finds the Colt Anaconda ain't exactly bargain basement neither.

Understood, But I'd think if the S&W M1917 clone were to surface, that be up to Uberti  ;)
They already make the faux #3 Smiths.

They're blued carbon steel, not blackened stainless. The Pietta is a replica of the original. The new Colt shares nothing in common with them.

Street price is more like $1400. No reason for them to be higher than MSRP.
