I must say (with head bowed) i bought and did contemplate to install a " Scout Scope" on my perfect Rossi 92'.
I removed the back sight and made a mounting plate using the dove tail and a thread'd hole that was already tapped in the barrel for the buck-horn sight. After a couple attempts i could tell i would need to drill more holes or make a band to go around the (oct) barrel to make the scope mount solid. NOPE,NOPE, i will just have start shooting at 25 yds. I don't hunt anyway , just target shoot.

This ROSSI started life as 45 COLT, someone had it relined to 44-40, could not get it to feed right, i bought it fixed it ,smooth as silk,,, lesson learned , leave "RIGHT ALONE".

  coffee's ready,, Hootmix.
