Happy New Year !   I just put a pot of Cawffee and Hot water for the early risers. I have Cheese grits and pigs in a blanket for breakfast, about sunup. Enjoy the Cawffee, it is a two pot morning.

I haven't stayed up to ring in the years in many, no real need at the appointed hour nature calls anyway, and I check the plumbing... lots of folks have fireworks out here in the sticks, so I hear the new year banged in as well.

Warmer part of thirty sumthin’ out now. Guessin’ for warmer ‘n wetter later on.

Was cuttin’ Zzzzzzs it the magic hour. Fat lady’s come down with sumthin’. Was tendin’ ta ‘er most of the awake time. School starts back tomorrow. Ain’t sure she’s gonna be there tho.

23 here, clouds. Have a Winter Storm Watch up for tomorrow into Friday( Yea :-\)

We had pork&kraut, and smashed taters last night at midnight. Then stayed up for a bit. Watching the lead up program for the parade now. Wife's taking down the tree, I'm staying out of her way ::)

Yeah,  the Trees coming down here too, and I'm also staying shy of that project ....

Gonna go work on some targets for this Saturday.
I built a new swinging target tree out of the older horizontal bar set they are vertical now like the silhouette.

I put on another pot of Cawffee for the late risers. The Cheese grits and pigs in a blanket turned out great. We had Mimosas to wash them Down.Watched the Rose Parade, now it is FOOTBALL time.  LSU IS KICKING IOWA BUTT!

My Grand Dad on Dad's side had a Franklin. Not sure of the year. Read somewheres that they were referred to as a heifer with the head cut off ;D Dad mentioned it a few times ::)

I have Cheese and Crackers for the Rose Bowl game. I plan on serving more items for the Fiesta Bowl. The weather is nice today, the high is almost 70.
