You should really try Annie's jam on fresh sourdough biscuits made with butter as shortenin'.  Mighty fine eatin' with another big plop of butter on top. ;)

<Whisper on: Annie, I'm savin' the other jar, me and Gopher Grease is gonna have fresh biscuits one of these days.  But he's got to bring my shotgun back. ;D ;))

GG, I got a kid I ain't using no more.  He don't look like much but he works hard and the horses seem to like him.  I think that's because he smells like they do.  He's sixteen and big as a grown man, but dumber than an ox.

How's that for a trade?

I thing GG went to bed but since we are pards I can deal for him.   ;D  Can this kid haul water, split wood, dig holes, load and unload duch ovens out of a truck. ;D ;D  Oh can he peel taters and wash dishes, in general do KP. :o :o  If so I'll bake a 50 pound bag of flour inta bread, GG will make several nice cakes of different types and we'll also teach him to cook in dutch ovens.

PS.  We'll feed him well and we'll even find an extra blanket or two for him to sleep in. ;D ;D

Sounds good to me.  I'd rather buy his clothes than feed him.  That kid can eat as much a any ten men, but he can do almost any job that don't take much thinkin'.

An' don't leave honey out where he can get to it.  He drinks it like water, given the chance.
