Buffalo shoot

       BUFFALO/LONG RANGE SHOOT

Date: Oct 14, 15, 16, 2011
Location: near Lebo, KS.
Sponsors:  Kansas Vigilance Committee (a posse of NCOWS).
Entry: $30 by Oct 1, or $35 after Oct 1 or day of shoot

Black Powder and Smokeless categories. Medals for first five places in each category. 40 shots for score, no sight in-shots.

 Rules: Any rifle caliber is ok but be aware, most targets must be knocked down        to count. NO MODERN OPTICS, Spotters with period optics ok, period scopes ok. Rifles must be of the period of pre-1886; cross-sticks allowed.
Lead bullets only. Must be in period dress to shoot.

 Side match: .22 caliber, any rifle except semi-autos, 20 shots, NO scopes, NO
sight-in shots, bullets must be loaded one at a time. Additional $5 entry.

Awards and door prizes (must be present to win door prizes) announced when last shooter finishes Sunday or 10 am, whichever is later. Medals will be mailed to anyone not present.

Primitive and modern camping (no hookups, no water)

Sat. eve. meal provided, Sat. & Sun. breakfast available at cost.

Motels: Wyatt Earp Inn 620-256-6351
Restaurants at Beto Jct & Lebo, all approx. 10 miles.

Trap: Just curious. What size are the targets and at what distance are they shot?

   targets were from a chicken to a 3/4 buffalo, from 50-400yards.
