What about these? I have this mold, Rapine 358-149 and 358-158. Here is the 149 which drops a .365 diameter
I have the same Rapine 358-158 mold that I've loaded in 38LC cases for the last twenty years. Accuracy in my guns (Uberti/Kirst 51 Navies) was outstanding. However, due to the length of the bullet it was difficult to cram much more that about 14 grs of Goex 3F and fit the Kirst OAL restrictions. I finally resorted to the advice in an article published in The Blackpowder Cartridge News which described filling the case with 17/18 grs 3F, partially seating the bullet, then turning the whole thing UPSIDE DOWN and finish seating in a hand press. This allowed the extra powder to fill the hollow base, and the bullet could then be seated to correct OAL. Yeah, I know, a lot of extra work. However, the additional powder charge seemed to push the effectiveness of the cartridge to the point where steel knock down targets were no problem at Cowboy Matches, and as mentioned, accuracy was outstanding past 25 yards.
