Del, those are looking tasty.  I have 10 left in freezer, but Christmas gifted Blue corn masa.   Reminds me if my late sister's favorite Christmas song
I'll have a blue tamale without you
There'll be no salsa without you
Jalapenos of green on piles of beans
And I'll have a blue tamale without you.

It's 67 now, high of 72 today, with a low of...17!!! Warm spell is scheduled to fall off a cliff a little past noon.

Morning all.

After receiving almost 8" of rain the the last week, we are currently experiencing blue skies, temps in the high 50s and a gentle north breeze. I'm confused.

Not much else to report.

I was told recently that I'm "livelier than a one-legged man at a butt-kicking contest."    Is that an insult or a compliment?

I'd go build a nice campfire while it's safe and cook something.

Although never a boy scout or leader I admin a Scout cooking group on FB.  I and others will post about how to do this or that and somebody will chime in they can't do that because they live in this or that place and there is a fire ban that even includes charcoal.

Well it ain't like I can make it rain and the ban go away. Maybe you might consider moving away from lots of pine trees and crappy forest management.  But not to here.

Kid, I have a FB cooking friend down in Alabama who is a professional forest fire starter.  ;D  Although forest manager or something is the PC name.  Of course, around here they burn the grasslands to get rid of the trees.  "Remember, only you can prevent a forest."  That concept as well as my friends-controlled fires make the Yuppie tree huggers heads spin. Not every tree needs, hugged, some as Arcey used to say are wooden weeds.  Not everyone in Nebraska thinks J Sterling Morton and his Arbor Day is a good thing.  A weed is just a plant where you don't want it.

Howdy folks, made it all the way to 42F today and sunny. Supposed to warm up the next couple of days. Off work today and taking it easy. I'll work Friday and Saturday, things are starting to slow down again after the New Year. We are getting buried with requests about silencers even though we don't handle them!
Anyway, hope you all have a good day.

31 degrees this morning, that's quite nippy for us.

No festivities, reveling, luxuriating or imbibing planed.
I'll more than likely be fast asleep when the ball drops,
just another day in paradise.

Locals will indulge in celebratory fireworks and I'm sure
  bonehead gunfire.

Late good morning everyone and a Happy New Year's Eve. 51 here right now and sunny, gonna be a much prettier day than the last two. We have a fun Service at Church tonight, just a couple hours of a short message, prayer, then games and finger food. We'll be home by 930, whether we will see the New Year in here at home is debatable. May God bless you all my friends.
