I agree with Colter, dark blue would make a nice contrast.  8)
A work in progress.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I got the  loading lever modified with the detent in it. This set up locks the lever up in place and retains the cylinder pin. Here are some pics.

What I ain't got in my shop I got access to. A feller can't never have to many tools! Started shellacin the grips today! Changed the color of the grip a tad bit. I'll see what they turn out like.

Like the birdshead better than mine, never thought about welding it. The change at the top of the gripframe not such a good idea on mine, it doesn't appear to have hurt, but makes the grip situation rough.
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.

Oh day was like the end of the Saprano's. That is one of the coolest belly guns. Please post some of the finished pics. How did you make those grips.

Cut, sand, fit, Cut, sand, fit. Mohogany. I made some simulated ivory out of polymer clay...didn't work out. Looked beautiful, but too soft, they flexed too much. I put another alignment pin in the frame.
