Post by: Marshal Halloway on October 10, 2023, 03:21:46 PM

Cimarron announced there new Competition SA last week.

This new Model P revolver honors the 107 men who initially served in the Arizona Territorial Rangers from 1901 to 1909.

Received my sample today and will take it for a spin in the weeks to come.

The linked article does not say, but Mike Harvey previously told me this model should have 4 clicks.  The pictured gun does appear to be 4-click due to the trigger position and a 2-position base pin.  Cimarron's BP-framed Ubertis still have 4 clicks, but this would be the only pre-war Uberti with 4 clicks.

I will look forward to your review.  :)

4 clicks it is. Had to check it before I put it in the safe.  ;D

Heading to LandRun in OKC tomorrow so the "Arizona Ranger" will have to wait for a few days.

The spring loaded cross bolt is appropriate given the years of existence for the AZ Rangers. If only the hammer was color case hardened, as were the originals from the period.

I'm sort of surprised the hammer isn't case colored since regular Model P's are that way.
