Hey, I don't remember if it was this threas, but way back someone was looking for a camping knife / fork / spoon set that "nested together.  I found one then, but always wanted one like my dad had when he was working for the Forest Service in 1937-1938.

GOT IT!

Bud-K catalog has them (Stainless steel these days) that have a knife, fork, spoon, and a camping combination tool with bottle opener, can opener, and the sleeve that holds it all together.  The spoon is big enough to cook with or eat with and the knife needs an edge, but it's really usable.

Take a look.  They're not expensive at all.

??? I've always wondered how you are supposed to hold your food with the fork and cut it with the knife?   :-\
Well.... see, if you take your time, you get a more harmonious outcome.

They come apart to use them, but not when you don't want them to.  Very clever design, like the Japanese / Chinese type soup spoon.  Not like their stupid one tine wooden forks.

Forty, I buy a few things from Bud K. I bought two of those sets you described. I put a set in the glovebox of my 2 pickups. I think that I'll buy another set for my small gear bag.

I bought three sets, gave one to All Hat and kept two for "handiness".  Might try sharpening up those furschlugginer serrated blades one of these times.

Now, I already told you plenty of times before.  I Never stole your hubcaps!  It was only a coincidence that I just happened to find the money for Ma's birthday present in my sock drawer.
