Well ..... heck fellas.  Perhaps it's because of my experience with threaded parts.  Perhaps it's my jaded opinion of threaded parts.  Perhaps is just my quivering fear of MURPHY!! 

Took all my nifty R&D type cylinders apart (same day I got em), de-greased em and immediately put a drop of blue LocTite on the ferule threads.  Some several thousands of rounds and couple a years later, still in there.  Nice and snug.  Purple and Blue LocTite are your bestest friends  ;D
