What would I have to do to be able to attend?

River City John

I assume door prize donations are welcome?

River City, historicly, I have not asked for donations for door prizes,  so I will not be taking them this year. However it is something that stands to be discussed  with my staff for next year. Thanks anyway.w

It will give you the general guidelines.   You can use the typical cowboy arms, and clothing and shoot in the civilian class.   If you have those handy, it may be a good starting point before delving into military arms.   if you have 19th century military equipment, this is the place for it.   I picked up a trapdoor after my first one.   the bug will bite you hard.

Cessnapilot89

Thank you!

I have started amassing some period military arms.  Started with a Martini Henry, then a Trapdoor, then a NWMP Carbine, and now a Colt Walker.

Hair Trigger Jim

Sounds like your only problem will be figuring out which guns to use!

The Cook, me, would like to have a rough head count for meal planning purposes. There is no pre-registration required, so just show up, shoot and have fun. I will do my best to provide a tasty noon meal, it will be easier to be sure I prepare enough if I have some idea how many mouths I will have to feed.

I think there will be five of us coming from the Loup River territory.  Looking forward to it!

I will be there as well as Woody and his son.  That will be 3.

River City John

I plan to be there, and I'll mention there will be food to Mr. Irons.

Jack, roughly how many rounds will we need for the main match?  Will fifty do it?

Question for the Match Directors:

I'm hankering to shoot in the Hand-Gunner category (formerly Staff Officer). Would it be allowed to carry more than a single sidearm?
I have a '51 Conversion and a '51 C&B with a cartridge cylinder, and a Remington Navy in .36cal, my "Boarding Party Belly Gun". All in .38spcl using black powder substitute.

Ned, 50 rounds should be more than plenty for someone with your shooting skills!

RCJ, I can't answer as far as GAF Regulations, but as for me, I would rather have you carry five or six revolvers as opposed to watching you reload one revolver five times! River City John, AKA: Josie Wales
