rawhide lace

I've brought up this a couple of times.  Yesterday, a leather worker who restores old holsters told me what I am looking at is calfskin, not rawhide. I had no idea. I guess never assume anything.  The white calfskin ages and darkens and looks like rawhide.

Thanks for posting that. Calfskin would be a might easier to work.
